Carol Akau Casil coordinated and brought to life the original Tahiti Fete to Hawaii (Kauai-Tahiti Fete). Casil's Temana Rose Productions has recently announced their first event - 1st Annual Heiva (Tahitian Celebration) - happening in Kailua-Kona August 21-23, 2009.This event will include Solo & Couples Dance Competition 5 yrs & up, Drumming competition, Art Contest for Middle School 6th - 8th grade & High School 9th - 12th., A canoe race for ages 12 - 19, & the Parade of costumes contest.
More information will be coming as this event develops.
